Warriors 'good luck charm' sings nat'l anthem ahead of NBA Finals Game 1 win

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - The Warriors brought out their good luck charm to sing the national anthem Thursday at Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Ten-year-old Nayah Damasen of San Jose has performed the national anthem for other playoff games, and the Warriors have won.

In fact, she's been singing at Warriors games since she was eight years old.

KTVU caught up with her before the game, and she admitted that she was a little nervous.

"It's really scary to be singing for the finals more than the playoffs because I've been singing for the playoffs for a longtime and the finals haven't been in for 40 years," she said.

Her mother said Nayah has been practicing really hard for this performance, and she thinks her daughter is a natural.
