Account Executive

We are searching for an experienced Multimedia Account Executive. As part of our total compensation benefits package we offer comprehensive medical plans, three weeks’ vacation, 401k, and tuition reimbursement just to name a few.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and grow existing client list by utilizing our market leading FOX stations, digital properties, and industry leading OTT platform to create impactful marketing campaigns for advertising partners.
  • Develop a consistent stream of new business and manage the entire sales cycle in order to achieve monthly revenue targets.
  • Gain key insight on client goals and objectives in order to make presentation and recommendations to successfully achieve them with all of our offerings.
  • Responsible for selling sponsorships that may include promotions initiated by sales persons.
  • Ability to create impactful multi-platform advertising campaigns that include KTVU/KTVU+, KTVU’s digital offerings, and OTT.
  • Utilize all available sales tools in order to educate clients on the broadcast landscape and develop value propositions to earn client’s business.
  • Manage and maintain campaigns to ensure all deliverables are met and provide superb after-sales support in order to develop long lasting partnerships.
  • Other duties assigned as deemed necessary and appropriate

Minimum Requirements: 

Media sales or other outside sales experience preferred.

  • Ability to create, present, and sell through opportunities to Clients and Advertising agencies.
  • Experience with Wide Orbit, Wide Orbit Media Sales, and Kantar applications a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs including Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook.
  • Effective time management, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Must possess a driver's license with a good driving record
  • High School diploma is required; 4-year College degree is preferred

Broadcast Technician

We are looking for a Per Diem Broadcast Technician. Come be a part of a winning team with a diverse culture that believes in supporting, mentoring, and training our staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operating in Master Control, the Technical Operations Center, and Ingest.
  • Master Control automation experience a must with an emphasis on switching live sports.
  • Ensuring compliance with FCC regulations related to closed captioning, EAS, transmitters, text-to-speech, and the CALM Act.
  • Live news experience is also a must to include tuning in live shots via microwave, satellite, and bonded cellular.
  • Other duties include commercial and program ingest and segmentation as well as quality control of on-air signal.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts that may include nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Other duties as deemed appropriate and necessary.

Minimum Requirements: 

The ability to work under tight timelines and high stress while maintaining an exceptional on-air product. 

Basic technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to properly communicate issues to the Maintenance Engineers and supervisors. Computer hardware, software, and networking experience and the ability to quickly learn new applications and workflows. 

Must work well with others in and out of the Engineering department and be able to communicate clearly in writing as well as in person.

Two years of college or technical school and two years of related experience preferred.

News Producer

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • The producer is required to select content, write and copy edit stories, assemble stories into a rundown, book guests, and create graphics and visuals to complement the presentation of material for the on-air broadcast and digital platforms.
  • The producer must be able to write news copy clearly, in broadcast style, for on-air, online, and other digital platforms.
  • Must be able to assemble news material in a logical and organized fashion and present finished stories in a professional and engaging manner for viewers/readers to be able to comprehend the latest local, national and international news.
  • Strong writing and producing skills are essential.
  • Ability to contribute ideas on a daily basis and to recognize what types of stories would make for interesting and compelling television and online content.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced quickly changing environment and react in live situations to cover breaking news, etc.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with peers and supervisors and to develop contacts outside the building to aid in newsgathering.
  • The producer must be enterprising and self-motivated and be able to work independently to develop newscast or assigned production.
  • Requires a thorough understanding of all journalistic standards and broadcast production techniques used to create visual and compelling on-air and online content.
  • Other duties assigned as deemed appropriate and necessary.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • High school diploma is required; 4-year College degree is preferred.
  • Candidate should have some experience with fast-paced television productions.
  • Ignite, Inews, AutoCue experience or other newscast automation is required.
  • A strong technical understanding of new technology is also required.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are required.

News Anchor

  • Provide exemplary leadership in the newsroom, guiding junior anchors and reporters in pursuit of journalistic excellence.
  • Stay at the frontline of breaking news situations, taking on field anchoring duties when assigned, to deliver live reporting that captures the veracity of the moment.
  • Take charge of coordinating and producing compelling interview segments, ensuring content is informative and resonates with our diverse audience.

• Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to deliver complex sports information in an accessible and engaging way.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 

As a News Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering engaging and high-quality news content to our viewers on television and all digital platforms. Duties include selecting and editing news content, including recording live feeds, editing news and feature stories, and contributing video content to various live and taped shows and segments. The News Editor is expected to consistently ensure accurate and impactful storytelling and maintain the highest level of journalistic standards and quality. Must pay close attention to details, pacing, and timing to create compelling coverage for broadcast and digital platforms. Prior experience working in a local news is required. Must be able to work as a team with digital, news, and promotion.

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma is required; 4-year College degree is preferred. Candidate should have 3 to 5 years’ experience with fast-paced television productions. Excellent communication skills are required.
