2 adults displaced in South San Jose mobile home fire

SOUTH SAN JOSE, Calif. - A fast-moving fire displaced two residents from a mobile home in South San Jose Tuesday afternoon, a fire spokesman said.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m., fire crews responded to a report of a fire at the Colonial Mobile Manor park in the 3300 block of Narvaez Avenue, fire Capt. Christopher Salcido said.
Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames showing from a single-story mobile home, Salcido said.
Two adults who lived in the involved home and a dozen others from three surrounding homes roughly 20 feet away from each other were evacuated as a precaution, according to Salcido.
The one-alarm fire was knocked down at about 4:30 p.m. and did not extend past the involved home, which was considered a total loss, he said.
The evacuated neighbors were allowed to return to their homes, according to Salcido. No injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross was called to assist two adults displaced from the home, according to Salcido.
The mobile home was made of materials such as lightweight metal that quickly burned and led the building to collapse, Salcido said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
