3.0-magnitude earthquake hits San Ramon

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 struck San Ramon on Friday morning, in an occurrence that is becoming quite common. 

The US Geological Survey reported the quake struck at 8:14 a.m.

Dozens of small earthquakes have been rattling San Ramon since November. 

The most recent before this was on New Year's Day. 

There were several others on Dec. 19, 20 and on Christmas Eve. None have reached a magnitude of 4.0.
