Bay Area search and rescue crews help after Hurricane Harvey in Texas
A team of specialized Oakland firefighters and Menlo Park firefighters are helping out in Texas to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
The search and rescue teams from the Bay Area will be called upon to perform water rescues and provide medical aid to those left stranded by the widespread flooding.
The Menlo Park urban search and rescue team is nationally recognized for helping out during natural disasters, including Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
