Beloved diner owner dies

ANTIOCH, Calif. (KTVU) - Family and friends are mourning the owner of some popular East Bay Diners.

Lumpy's owner, Jeremy Sturgill, is being remembered for his great food, warm personality and generosity to the community.

The Antioch Herald reports Strugill, known as Lumpy, died Tuesday.

He founded "Lumpy's Diner" in Antioch and Pittsburg and a "Lumpy's Express" restaurant in Brentwood.

Friends have set up a Go Fund Me to help his widow and their two young sons. It has raised $21,000 so far.

The cause of Sturgill's death has not been released as of Wednesday morning.
