Here's the Rap Sheet for Dec. 29, 2015:

SEEMS LIKE THIS GUY HATES COPS: Sunnyvale police reported today that they've nabbed a man for allegedly ramming a vehicle into a gun shop, only to fail to get any weapons. His knuckle tats raised their eyebrows: "HATE COPS."

It's a safe guess that the men and women in blue haven't been able to change his perspective.

It all started shortly after 4 a.m. Dec. 12 when officers responded to a burglary alarm at U.S. Firearms Co. at 590 South Mary Ave.

Officers found that someone had used a stolen vehicle to push a Dumpster through the back door of the business.

Police spotted a second car leaving the area and began following it. They determined that this vehicle had been stolen a few hours earlier from an apartment complex nearby.

Officers deflated the vehicle's tires and arrested the driver, Jerod Wold, 29, said Capt. Jeff Plecque of the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Authorities believe that despite all his troubles, Wold was somehow unable to steal any weapons.

Police arrested Wold on suspicion of auto theft, burglary and two outstanding drug warrants.

SECURITY VIA CELL PHONE: A Milpitas resident helped police nab two burglars with the help of the victim's cell phone, police reported.

At about 8:55 p.m. Monday, the resident received an alert via cell phone that someone was breaking into a home on Rocky Mountain Avenue, said Milpitas police Sgt. Dave Morris. The resident's phone is linked to the home security system, and the intruders triggered the home's motion sensor.

Police set up a perimeter and caught the suspects as they tried to flee, Morris said.

Daniel Flores, 23, of East Palo Alto was captured when he jumped the backyard fence, only to find an officer waiting for him, Morris said.

About an hour later, officers found Jaime Magana, 24, of East Palo Alto hiding in a nearby backyard. Magana again tried to take off, but he was chased down. An officer suffered minor injuries during the takedown.

Both were booked at Santa Clara County jail on suspicion of residential burglary, conspiracy, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest  and probation violations.  Flores was also arrested on an outstanding warrant connected to an earlier burglary case.

KNOW THESE GUYS? San Mateo County sheriff's detectives say they want to identify these two men who robbed a Valero gas station in Millbrae.

The two went into the station's convenience store at 491 El Camino Real about 10 p.m. Monday while wearing masks. One was armed with a semiautomatic gun.

They told the employee to open the store's safe, but the clerk told them he couldn't.

The robbers pushed him aside, stole money from the cash register instead and fled in a silver or dark 1990s SUV, possibly a Jeep.
