ORLANDO, Fla. - Jacksonville Jaguar owners joined Steve Hogan, the CEO of Florida Citrus Sports, following the announcement that the team will be temporarily relocating to Orlando for the 2027 season. The team's owner, Shad Khan, said the National Football League made the right choice in choosing Orlando as the Jaguars' new home for next season.

On March 31, the NFL unanimously approved a proposal for the Jacksonville Jaguars to temporarily relocate to Orlando while the team's stadium undergoes renovations.
During an April 1 press conference, Jacksonville Jaguars President Mark Lamping said the team was looking for a temporary home in which they'd be welcomed by the community.
"We have found that home here in Orlando, in Central Florida. We are very, very thankful to be here today," Lamping said.

The team's owner, Shad Khan, said his family has a strong connection to Orlando – calling this city his home away from home.
"When you think about having the home games on the road for a season, you can understand the league's insistence that everything must be right," Khan said. "I believe the league got it right yesterday with the unanimous approval of Orlando as our home next year in 2027."
"We were sold on Orlando on day one," Khan said.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer thanked the NFL for their confidence "in knowing that Orlando can host big events." He said it's an opportunity that "we will no way take for granted."
"I am so proud of our community, with how we've come together," Dyer said.

During the league's 2026 Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, Camping World will be designated as the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 2027 season during renovations to EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville. The team reached a one-year stadium lease with Florida Citrus Sports for the Jaguars to use Camping World Stadium.

The $1.4 billion plan will include a new protective canopy, new communal spaces, wider concourses, new seating options and a public nature park.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in August 2028.
What's next:
According to Dyer, it's anticipated that Orlando will host somewhere between six and eight games next season.
