McDonalds unveils French fries -- with chocolate

OAKBROOK, Ill. (KTVU) - McDonald’s is putting a surprising new spin on a menu classic; they will be serving French fries with chocolate. 

The French fries will be drizzled with two types of chocolate sauce – “chocolate with cacao flavor and white milk chocolate.”  The McChoco Potato will only be available in Japan.  

It’s not the first time McDonald’s Japan has put a twist on French fries; they once served up “Shaka Shaka Potato fries” that were topped with cheese sauce or bacon.

The McChoco Potato will be in restaurants starting January 26 – for a limited time.
