Neighbors come together to decorate widow's home

SAN LORENZO, Calif. (KTVU) - A woman in San Lorenzo got quite a surprise Tuesday when she came home to her home decorated in Christmas lights.

Natalie’s husband died several years ago and since then she hasn’t put up lights. She tried to do some decorating this year, but thieves stole her decorations. That’s when her friends and neighbors decided to surprise her by decorating her house.

With the help of her son, they decorated her home while she was away Tuesday afternoon. Strangers and local businesses even chipped in to help.

When Natalie arrived back home, KTVU cameras were rolling to catch the surprise. “If I could faint, I would," she said as she got out of her car.
