Pampers releasing hi-tech 'smart diapers'

Baby diapers are going hi-tech in an effort to help parents understand their child's unique patterns and habits.

Pampers is introducing its new line of diapers called "Lumi." They use a video camera paired with a sensor in the diaper to send parents real-time alerts to their cellphone with updates on their baby's sleep and if the baby's diaper is wet.

"Being a father I think, you know, the more information I have about my son, the better. I mean my car emails me so why wouldn't my baby's diaper?" one father said.

The Lumi diaper launches this fall and will only be sold online. Pampers says there is already a waiting list and that the pricing hasn't yet been set.
