Person struck, killed by Capitol Corridor train in San Pablo
SAN PABLO, Calif. (KTVU) - Amtrak confirmed on Monday that Capitol Corridor train #538 from San Jose to Sacramento struck and killed a person who was said to be trespassing on the tracks in San Pablo at 4:45pm.
The train had 142 passengers aboard at the time of the accident. They were transferred to train #540 and continued on to Sacramento.
There were no injuries to passengers. Local police and Union Pacific Railroad police are investigating the incident with the assistance of Amtrak police.
