Police ask people assaulted at San Jose Trump to come forward
SAN JOSE (KTVU) - The investigation continues into the chaotic aftermath of a Donald Trump rally in San Jose last Thursday.
San Jose police detectives are asking people who were assaulted or hurt to come forward.
Investigators say they've identified some of the people responsible for the assaults.
Some of the Trump supporters who were attacked at last week's rally accuse the city's mayor of issuing a "stand down" order that prevented police from making arrests.
But Mayor Sam Liccardo responded by saying that he doesn't have the authority to give a "stand down order", and would not have done that anyway.
