Police investigating attempted robbery in Fremont

FREMONT, Calif. (BCN) - Police in Fremont are investigating an attempted chain snatch robbery that occurred Thursday.
Officers with the Fremont Police Department responded Thursday at 4:29 p.m. to investigate an attempted robbery on Camden Avenue near Eggers Drive.
Police said the suspect approached a 47-year-old woman and tried to rob her of her necklace.
The suspect then got into a vehicle and fled the scene.
The suspect was described as a black man, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a slightly chubby build and a large tattoo on his neck.
He was wearing a tall green cap, a solid orange T-shirt, and dark shorts. He fled the scene in a dark sedan.
