Police officer helps get man a new wheelchair after his was stolen
WESTMINSTER, Calif (FOX 11) - A police officer in Westminster is being praised on social media for a random act of kindness.
Sgt. Donnie Webb with the Westminster Police Department was patrolling the streets when he saw a homeless man laying on the sidewalk. He learned that the man's wheelchair had been stolen.
The officer then sent out a message to other officers asking for help locating a new wheelchair for the man.
Another officer went to Mission Palms Healthcare Center where employees donated a wheelchair.
Sgt. Webb then took the new wheelchair to the man who smiled and said 'nice things do happen.'
The police department shared the story on Facebook.
