Vehicle split apart in double fatal Richmond crash
Two people died in a horrific collision in Richmond on Friday morning.
RICHMOND, Calif. - A grisly crash in Richmond left two people dead on Friday morning.
The crash happened at the intersection of Carlson Boulevard and Florida Avenue, according to the Richmond Fire Department.
The fire department confirmed that the crash involved a single vehicle, resulting in the deaths of two people.
San Jose hit-and-run crash leaves man badly injured
A hit-and-run in San Jose left a man with life-threatening injuries on Thursday morning.
Video footage of the crash scene shows the involved vehicle — a black car, split into thirds, with a section of the vehicle pressed in a tree. Just feet way, the rear half of the vehicle is rested near the median. Also nearby was the front of the vehicle, with its hood slightly elevated into the air by the two front tires.
Richmond police are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
Carlson Boulevard remains closed, between Ohio Avenue and Cutting Boulevard, as investigators comb the scene.
