UC Berkeley students win esports national championship
BERKELEY, Calif. - Students at the University of California at Berkeley took home the national championship in esports on Sunday.
UC Berkeley's Starcraft II team beat students from Canada's University of Waterloo 4-3 in what esports enthusiasts hailed as a "nail-biting" series.
Tespa, a network of college gamers, esports clubs and competitive leagues, sponsored and broadcast the event. The winner took home $10,500 in scholarship money, Tespa officials said on Twitter.
