Sen. Mitt Romney says politicians attacking the vote by mail system are threatening global democracy.

A major union representing U.S. postal workers endorsed Democrat Joe Biden, a move that comes after President Donald Trump acknowledged he was starving the postal service of money in order to make it more difficult to vote by mail in November’s election.

The governor was discussing the changes made by the state during their postponed and nearly all-mail primary on July 7 and announced they would be expanding on that model for the general election.

The Republican president said on Fox Business Network that among the sticking points over a new virus relief package were Democrats’ demand for billions of dollars to assist states in protecting the election and to help postal workers process mail-in ballots.

The pair will later sit down together for an online fundraiser designed to let small donors get a fresh glimpse of what the Democratic presidential ticket will look like together.
