'Ghostbusters' and 'Animal House' filmmaker Ivan Reitman dies at age 75

Known for big, bawdy comedies that caught the spirit of their time, Reitman's big break came with the raucous, college fraternity sendup "National Lampoon's Animal House," which he produced. He directed Bill Murray in his first starring role in "Meatballs" and then again in "Stripes," but his most significant success came with 1984's "Ghostbusters."

Ian McDonald of Foreigner and King Crimson dies at 75

Ian McDonald, a co-founder of the pioneering prog-rock band King Crimson and stadium rock hitmaker Foreigner, has died. What a career — McDonald formed King Crimson in 1968 and if that wasn't enough, he also formed Foreigner eight years later. He was 75.
