White House moves to loosen remittance, flight rules on Cuba

The Biden administration announced Monday that it will expand flights to Cuba, take steps to loosen restrictions on U.S. travelers to the island, and lift Trump-era restrictions on remittances that immigrants can send to people on the island.

The Biden administration announced $110 billion for the projects will be used for federal highways, public transit, bridges, safety, and airports. This news comes months after President Joe Biden signed the $1 trillion infrastructure bill into law.

Judge halts preparations for end of US asylum limits

The Biden administration must stop what amounts to the phasing out a pandemic-related public health rule allowing the expulsion of migrants without giving them an opportunity to seek asylum, a federal judge in Louisiana ruled Wednesday.
