While the bulk of the rain should be focused to the north, showers are expected to move through parts of the Bay Area Tuesday. There is even the slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm. There is high confidence that this system will produce rain to the north of the Bay Area. Rainfall should taper dramatically as the system moves south. Local projections, through Thursday, range from 0” (some areas will remain dry) to .20” in the coastal hills. Monday: Measurable drizzle is possible during the morning hours. Later in the day, shower chances could be increasing in the North Bay…especially in Sonoma and Mendocino Counties. Tuesday: Shower activity could be picking up. Thunderstorm chances could be increasing too.
