West to Northwest winds will increase though the day and peak Friday afternoon/evening. Expect 20-40 mph wind gusts with some peak gusts of 50 mph. Daytime high temps will range between 67 in Pacifica to 94 Inland toards Discovery Bay and Brentwood. Temperatures cool to slightly below average highs on Saturday, but the wind will continue! By next week, Wednesday, temperatures make their way back to seasonal and above average highs.

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey’s northwestern Balikesir province on Sunday, causing around a dozen buildings to collapse and injuring several people.

Temperatures were slightly cooler Inland today, but still topping off in the triple digits well Inland towards Fairfield and the Delta. While Coastal areas, the City and Bayside will see coastal clodiness tonight with patchy drizzle, clear skies Inland with mild overnight temps in the 50s and 60s. Sunday will bring "Repeat Heat" Inland, with near summer average temperatures elsewhere. Air quality will be moderate in some neighborhoods with a breeze 10-15, occasional gusty winds to 20 mph. Novato's Shaded Fire Break will save homes

The small Marin town of Novato is creating a so-called Shaded Fuel Break to keep small gash and brush fires from climbing up into the top of trees, setting off major firestorms.
