20 deadliest California wildfires listed, Wine Country Fires top the list

Search teams with cadaver dogs began a ghastly search Thursday when they set out looking for those who potentially died in the Wine Country Fires. Sorting through the wreckage revealed more charred remains, bringing the death toll to 31.

The new deaths confirmed on Thursday make this California’s deadliest week of wildfires.

Here’s a look at the top 20 deadliest California wildfires provided by Cal Fire. Wine Country Fires included are Tubbs, Redwood Valley and Cascade. Napa death toll (2) is not on this list.
