A chance to wish for anything, and an 8-year-old girl with cancer makes a wish to bring a community together to pick-up trash.

Amelia Meyer is a cancer patient who was offered a chance to have a dream come true through the non-profit Make-A-Wish Foundation, and she didn't choose a trip to Disney World or a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet her favorite pop idol.

Instead the bright eyed Kansas City girl said that all she wanted was to clean-up the environment.

A motorcade and a festive scene awaited the girl under a sunny February sky at Kansas City's Swope Park, where Amelia was joined by her friends and hundreds of others who got to work and picked up the garbage that littered the park.

"It doesn't look nice and another reason is because it can stay dirty and it can get animals sick," Amelia said.

Her friends were extremely excited to be a part of the event which inspired a community to come together and help bring a child's dream come true.
