Fire shuts down southbound I-680 near Benicia Bridge

A vegetation fire near the Benicia-Martinez Bridge has caused severe traffic delays on I-680, according to the California Highway Patrol.
All lanes in the southbound direction are shut north of the bridge, police said.
There is no estimate for when the freeway will reopen.
Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes.
