Fund set up to assist family of train victim

HAYWARD, Calif. (KTVU) -- Family and friends of a woman suffering from depression who stepped in front of a train have set up a gofundme account to aid her 2-year-old son.

Shawna Doell was killed on March 13 on the tracks near Industrial Blvd. in Hayward.

"Although having been such a strong and independent woman, she kept hidden how deep her pain truly was," her family wrote on gofundme.com. "The loss is felt by all of us who were fortunate enough to have been in her life."

She left behind her partner Wayne and their 2-year-old son Emerin.

A fund to help her family has been set up at Go Fund Me
