Lamborghini on fire sets Chevron gas station ablaze in Redwood City

A hot-red Lamborghini caught on fire at a Chevron gas station in Redwood City Thursday evening, setting part of the building ablaze in a situation that could have been much, much worse.

The Redwood City Fire Department tweeted that firefighters were able to put the fire out at 710 Woodside Road shortly after it began about 8:50 p.m.

Betsabe Camarena caught some of the event on Facebook Live, showing the flames flying around the gas tanks and smoke billowing into the air.

Firefighters did not immediately respond a call seeking comment as to why the Lamborghini was set on fire. A man in Camarena's video said he heard the driver rented it, although that was not immediately confirmed.

No injuries were reported.
