Man found with several gunshot wounds in Oakland

A homicide investigation is underway Saturday morning after a man died from gunshot wounds in West Oakland. 

Oakland Police told KTVU the shooting occurred just after 9 p.m. Friday night. 

Police received reports of a person being down in the street in the area of 11th and Willow Streets.

Officers arrived and found a man with gunshot wounds. 

Medics tried to revive the man, who has been identified as Oakland resident Darrell Daniel, but he died a short time later.
