Nanny arrested for violence against Berkeley baby

A nanny from Richmond was charged with felony child abuse after a family's surveillance video revealed disturbing footage. 

Berkeley Police responded to a report of the child abuse on Friday.  Video from the family's surveillance camera showed physical violence against the 6-month-old boy. 

Ingrid Perez, 44, of Richmond was arrested. She was charged with one misdemeanor and one felony count of child abuse. 

According to police, Perez has worked as a nanny for multiple families over the past 10 years. 

Families who she recently worked for have been contacted.
