One person dead in early morning Oakland shooting

Oakland police investigating early Saturday morning homicide

Gunfire erupted around 3:30 a.m. Saturday near the corner of Courtland and San Carlos Avenues.

OAKLAND, Calif. - Oakland police provided few details about a person fatally shot in East Oakland early Saturday.

The shooting happened about 3:30 a.m. near the corner of Courtland and San Carlos avenues, according to an officer on the patrol desk.

A public information officer did not return a request for more information.
