Photos of man suspected of throwing bleach in woman's eyes released by SFPD
SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - San Francisco police have released new photos of a man suspected of throwing bleach on a woman in the Tenderloin neighborhood and blinding her.
Surveillance images show the suspect on a bike.
The assault happened July 30 outside a liquor store on the 100 block of Eddy Street at Mason at around 7:30 p.m.
According to police there was an argument on the street corner before the man threw bleach in the 53-year-old woman's eyes, blinding her.
After the attack, the suspect fled the area on the red mountain bike and went towards the Powell Street BART/Muni Station.
Doctors say they're not sure whether she's going to regain her sight.
Police say if you recognize the man, you should contact them.
