A woman who was in a vehicle buried in snow was discovered by a plow driver.

Police say if a snowplow clearing the street in South Lake Tahoe didn't accidentally hit her car, she would have never been found alive.

The incident happened during the storms earlier this month.

The plow operator and police who helped dig the car out, didn't know there was a person inside until they saw a hand pressed against the window.

Police believe the woman was homeless and living in her vehicle.

According to a report by the Reno Gazette Journal, the woman was in good health.
