Police arrest 16-year-old in connection with San Francisco shooting

SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU and wires) -- Police have arrested a 16-year-old Vallejo teen in connection with a non-fatal shooting in San Francisco's Western Addition neighborhood Thursday evening, police said Friday.
Police said the 16-year-old is being held in a juvenile detention facility on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
On Thursday, several shots were reported in the area of Golden Gate Avenue and Webster Street at 6:43 p.m., police said.
Responding officers found one male victim who was shot in the thigh. Police today identified the man as a 31-year-old resident of Oakland.
The man was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening, police said.
