A group of protesters staged a demonstration outside the home of San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee Sunday morning.

The group “Asians 4 Black Lives” organized the protest to call for the firing of San Francisco police Chief Greg Suhr and the officers who fatally shot 26-year-old Mario Woods last month.

The group also wants the city to reduce police budgets and use that money to provide more affordable housing in the city.

At one point, some of the protesters chained themselves to a table in the middle of the street and demanded that Lee join them.

Activists across the Bay Area have been demonstrating this weekend to bring attention to issues of police brutality and gentrification for what they’re calling "96 hours of direct action to reclaim Dr. Martin Luther King's radical legacy over MLK weekend.”

A similar protest was held Saturday morning in front of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf's house.
