Most, least safe states for online dating

Researchers crunched government statistics to determine the least and most safe states for online dating.

The gaming platform Roblox is known for hosting user-created games to virtual worlds, but soon, it could also be where a person dates and falls in love.

Last month, Roblox’s CEO, David Baszucki, spoke on the "Tech Stuff" podcast to discuss what is next for the brand.

Roblox reportedly launching dating feature

What they're saying:

He said that someday dating will become available on the platform for users who are 21 and older and ID verified.

According to Baszucki, this would allow users to go on dates with other users they’ve met in the metaverse, which could result in real-life relationships.

"I think a lot of people who are too afraid to go on a real-life date might find it easier to have a virtual date to start, and then if they connect, move to the physical world," Baszucki said.

He added, "In a wellness platform, I think of it as a platform to help loneliness and help bring connection."

Baszucki actually soft-launched the plan to facilitate immersive dating experiences back at the 2023 Roblox Developers Conference, according to Cosmopolitan.

When will the Roblox dating feature be available?

What's next:

Unfortunately, if you’re ready to start testing this function out, the virtual dating option isn’t live yet.
