Three killed in shooting at Los Angeles party

LOS ANGELES (KTVU) - Police are searching for several suspects in a mass shooting that took place in Los Angeles Saturday morning.

Police say three people were killed and 12 others were wounded in the gunfire that took place at a restaurant in Southwestern Los Angeles early Saturday morning.

Witnesses say more than 50 people were inside the restaurant when the gunfire erupted in this usually quiet Los Angeles neighborhood.

Trason Leslie, a neighboring resident says, "We don't really have any problems with anybody. Everyone knows, that type of community, everyone knows everyone living here and we're all pretty much like family. So to hear that, it's pretty much shocking and I can't believe it happened just a few doors from my house."

Police say a party was underway at the time of the shooting and investigators believe the gunfire may be tied toa drug deal involving some of the guests at the party.
