WATCH: Mountain lion kittens in Santa Monica Mountains

Mountain lion researches found five kittens in the Santa Susana Mountains, located in the Santa Monica Mountains.

There was one litter of three kittens and a second litter of two kittens.

According to the National Park Service, it's believed the kittens have the same father.

"It's great that our local big cats are reproducing, but these kittens will face challenges as they grow up, from roads to rat poison to males finding their own territory," according to Ranger Zach.
