Newsom sends National Guard to aid food banks amid government shutdown

The ongoing government shutdown is now threatening food benefits, like Calfresh, which help millions of Californians. And food banks are preparing for an influx of new clients. Today, Governor Gavin Newsom announced he's sending $80-million dollars in emergency funds and National Guard Troops to help.
