Legislation to disperse homeless shelters and services passes SF Budget and Finance Committee

A measure aimed at helping to disperse homeless shelters and services across San Francisco passed a crucial vote this week. The Board of Supervisors Budget and Finance Committee advanced the legislation that would prohibit new facilities in neighborhoods that already have a number of shelters and services for the homeless. San Francisco Supervisor Bilal Mahmood, who spearheaded the legislation, joined KTVU to talk about the ordinance.

Major changes coming to student loans

A major shift is underway for federal student loan borrowers. President Trump's budget bill was signed into law this month and introduces new borrowing limits, fewer repayment options, and brings an end to the Biden Administration's SAVE plan.
