District 3 Supervisor Danny Sauter plans to introduce legislation aimed at penalizing property owners who fail to repair out-of-service elevators within 24 hours. Under the proposed law, landlords who do not complete repairs within the 24-hour window would be required to pay for the relocation of affected senior citizens and residents with disabilities while the work is being completed.
