Defaced San Francisco Castro mural faces costly repairs

A San Francisco Castro District mural, created in 1998, honors those who died during the AIDS crisis. The beloved artwork, likened to gay folk art, has been defaced by large, black graffiti. It's not the first time this happened, but the cost of the restoration work is $50,000.
