Makeshift homes bulldozed in West Oakland to make way for homeless intervention site

The city of Oakland has begun to clear makeshift homes and homeless encampments on Wood Street in West Oakland. It's part of a larger plan to turn the area into an intervention site to help the homeless. The area has grown over the past few years and has seen fires, violent crimes and illegal dumping.
