Large fire erupts in Oakland next to I-580, at least 2 homes burned

Oakland firefighters are responding to a large vegetation fire that exploded next to I-580 near Quigley Street in the Laurel neighborhood and damaged at least four homes. Residents on one block have been evacuated as firefighters respond to the 4-alarm fire on Friday. One firefighter is being treated for "heat-related injuries". No other injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
