Oakland teachers union vote to authorize strike

Oakland teachers say they are preparing to picket as negotiations are at a standstill with the school district. The union said on Tuesday they overwhelmingly voted to authorize a strike if no progress is made at the bargaining table. Teachers have been without a contract since October.
