Alleged thief shot by Home Depot security guard

A man who had allegedly been trying to steal from a Home Depot in San Carlos was shot after attacking a security guard with a baton. The San Mateo County sheriff's office said the suspect gained control of the guard's baton and struck him in the face and head before the guard shot and wounded his attacker.
