Bill proposing Bay Area bridge toll increase for public transit paused
State Sen. Scott Wiener joined KTVU on The Five on Monday to discuss a bill that is on pause that proposed a toll increase for Bay Area bridges. He warns that public transportation agencies are in dire need of the funding from this bill and that public transit riders on average tend to be low-income individuals. He adds if BART and Muni cut service, low-income workers and students will not be able to get to work and school.
