Newsom's Senate pick not registered to vote in California

Laphonza Butler is soon to become the second Black woman to represent California in the U.S. Senate. Governor Newsom today defended his selection to fill the seat of the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein. But KTVU's Ann Rubin reports Butler, a Democratic strategist, who's been living in Maryland and never held elected office, wasn't even registered to vote in California.
