'Gaza to Oakland': Oakland teachers participate in unauthorized pro-Palestine teach-in

The Oakland Education Association says 60% of union reps voted to move forward with the unsanctioned teach-in about the war between Israel and Hamas. Organizers say the goal: was to make discussions Palestine-focused through webinars and speakers, hearing diverse perspectives whereas critics, including some Jewish parents, found it upsetting.
