New push in Oakland to bring back Ceasefire crime-fighting strategy

Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao is behind a new push to bring back a crime-fighting strategy known as Operation Ceasefire. Part of the strategy includes a component to strengthen community relations between neighbors and police. The program has been effectively gutted for several years.
