62,000 pounds of Fentanyl seized in California last year, local expert responds
The California National Guard seized more than 62,000 pounds of fentanyl in 2023. That's well more than double the amount from the year before. Braunz Courtney, the executive director of the HIV Education and Prevention Project of Alameda County, or HEPPAC, joined us on 'The Nine' to talk about how there have been several changes in how fentanyl is viewed, used and sold.
